Generative AI in the mirror of copyright law
Artificial intelligence is on everyone’s lips. Although the autonomous image and text generators currently available on the market have obvious weaknesses, the disruptive power of generative AI is beyond question. Appropriate regulations are currently being debated both nationally and internationally. This interdisciplinary event will discuss systems such as ChatGPT, Stable Diffusion and Midjourney from the perspective of copyright law. In addition to questions of interpretation in current copyright law, the question of what repercussions “creativity at the push of a button” will have on the copyright system as such will also be explored.
